Step 1 - The Job Role
We are searching for exceptional leaders to step up as top performing Retail Sales / Shop Managers for a number of prestigious cruise retail partners on board multiple major cruise lines! All types of cruise lines are in our list - contemporary, premium, luxury and ultra-luxury!
Be the go-to for:
Sales — As an onboard sales expert, you will be responsible for introducing a variety of high-end luxury brands to cruise ship guests and work hard to close sales. You have a hunger and passion for successful sales (and have previous metrics to prove this success!) And of course, you will help your guests commemorate their life’s most important moments by shopping for their dream pieces!
Storytelling/Communication — As the guest’s typical first point of contact in our retail stores on board, you will have an outgoing, enthusiastic personality matched with clear communication skills to introduce them to a world of luxury and help them find the piece they are looking for. White-glove, personable service is a must and you have mastered the art of hospitality required for showing high-value diamonds, gemstones, and watches to clients.
Team Management — Our onboard Sales Associates and Management work together to close sales and achieve company targets. You will have a sterling reputation for managing sales teams, working well with others in a large team setting and know how to utilize everyone’s strengths to make sure every guest has a satisfactory experience while in our stores.
Operations — Our onboard Managers are responsible for all ship inventory, and a familiarity working with POS systems is a requirement. You will act as the head of the shop department and liaison with our shoreside management team and high-level shipboard operational staff within the Hotel Department. Your operational responsibilities include inventory and personnel management, reporting, and interdepartmental communication.
Qualifications:
Successful sales experience in the retail sector
Previous sales management experience required, with a strong preference for candidates that have been in a Sales Management position on board cruise ships.
Fluency in English required, any additional spoken languages are a bonus!
Soft skills: confidence, credibility, approachability, leadership/mentorship
Why we love this opportunity:
Competitive base pay + high commission potential
Opportunity to travel the world and form relationships with crew members and guests from numerous different countries - expand your mind while also expanding your bank account!
